Classic Tuna Casserole

2 tablespoons of Cooking Oil

2 cups of Macaroni Pasta, cooked & drained

500ml of Mushroom Soup

½ cup of Milk

2 cans of Flaked Tuna

1 cup of Frozen Peas, thawed & drained

1 cup of Breadcrumbs or Croutons

1½ cups of Sharp Cheddar

Salt & Pepper

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees & grease casserole dish
  2. Combine noodles, soup, milk, tuna, peas, and 1 cup of cheese. Add salt & pepper to taste. Spoon into prepared casserole dish.
  3. Toss breadcrumbs with oil and sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Top breadcrumbs with remaining cheese.
  4. Bake for 15 – 20 min, until hot and bubbly and crumbs are browned.

It doesn't get any more classic than this. Quick and tasty, this casserole is an easy kid pleaser if you're in a pinch! For a more sophisticated version, try using smoked tuna instead of plain. Class it up even further with another classic: California chardonnay.
